He's played lead trumpet with a variety of groups like Impressions In Jazz Orchestra, the National Arts Centre Orchestra Pops, latin-jazz band Los Gringos, and musical theatre shows such as A Chorus Line and The Sound of Music. Nicholas was also a featured soloist with Ottawa Superband for their Tribute to Maynard Ferguson concerts. Other performances include Gladys Knight, The Temptations, Solomon Douglas Swingtet, People Project, SoulJazz Orchestra, and That’s The Spirit. Nicholas has also been actively recording, contributing to albums by Solomon Douglas Swingtet, The Yohawks, That’s The Spirit and SoulJazz Orchestra, plus a live concert recording for Radio Canada with Los Gringos. |
